SEH Print Servers Include IPSec Support

PHOENIXVILLE, PA (February 24, 2011) – SEH, a leading network solution vendor, announces support for the IPSec security protocol in their PS-series product line. Print servers by SEH now offer even more security when it comes to processing print jobs. IPSec ensures the safe authentication of the data source, and maintains data integrity while communicating via IP networks.

“IPSec extends the standard security package of SEH print servers by adding valuable encryption and authentication mechanisms. This allows for transport of IP packets in a cryptographically safe way via open networks”, Reinhold Clausjuergens, SEH Marketing Director, explains. IPSec not only increases data integrity and authenticity but also brings confidentiality into the communication process. This allows for the protection of sensitive data.

“As an additional feature, IPSec fits perfectly within the best-in-class security repertoire of our print servers”, continues Reinhold. SEH PS-series print servers are already recognized for their simple installation, administration, and built-in ThinPrint client. SEH still offers free updates and a guarantee of up to five years for the PS-series.

IPSec configuration is done via the embedded web interface that can be used with most web browsers.
