Backup Exec and VMware Work Together for SMBs

To help customer Design & Source Productions manage their growing information, Baroan Technologies implemented Backup Exec 2010 and VMware data protection technologies.

“Prior to implementing Backup Exec 2010, backups were performed manually and sporadically, which put a lot of Design & Source Productions’ proprietary business and customer data at risk,” explained Guy Baroan, president of Baroan Technologies. “With a recent network and server upgrade, Baroan Technologies helped Design & Source implement VMware to significantly reduce their power consumption while fully protecting their data with Backup Exec 2010.”

Data protection and energy efficiency are top priorities for MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions, which provides heating, ventilation and air conditioning services mechanical design and construction services alongside energy management programs to commercial facilities.

“Since we are a green business, we are always looking for ways to minimize physical hardware in the data center and reduce the power and cooling that it requires,” said Seth Henderson, Network Administrator, MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions.

Electrical product supply company, Cetnaj has 300 employees throughout Australia and New Zealand and has been able to efficiently streamline backups due to the deep integration Backup Exec has with VMware.
