Streamlines reporting for more than 160 physicians at 11 facility sites.

Austin, Texas (SCAR Booth #115) April 27, 2006, Agfa HealthCare announced today that a major outpatient clinic in Kansas will install Agfa’s IMPAX RIS (Radiology Information System), TalkStation speech recognition reporting system, and two IMPAX MA3000 mammography diagnostic display stations as part of a broad integrated solution. In addition, Wichita Clinic will become the first U.S. healthcare facility to implement QPlanner™, Agfa’s unique scheduling tool, across multiple facilities. The entire suite is currently scheduled to be operational later this year.

“We have worked with Agfa for almost ten years on many PACS-related issues, so we knew they had the experience with the integrated solutions we were looking for,” said Larry Leopold, Director of Radiology at Wichita Clinic. “It will be such a plus for our staff, which includes more than 160 physicians, to be able to do their work at a single PC without having to move from workstation to workstation as they travel throughout our clinic’s network.”

Wichita Clinic performs more than 100,000 procedures each year in 11 facilities throughout the Wichita community. They have used Agfa’s IMPAX PACS since 1998.

“From our association with Wichita Clinic over the past eight years we know them as a leading healthcare site with a busy workload and complete dedication to quality patient care. A comprehensive, integrated information and reporting solution was a logical next step for them,” said David Chambers, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Agfa HealthCare, U.S. “We are looking forward to the positive results that Wichita Clinic and its staff and patients will see as this state-of-the-art implementation gets underway.”

Wichita Clinic delivers high quality healthcare in a true multi-specialty environment with services ranging from radiology, eye surgery, occupational health and immediate care. The clinic is also involved in clinical research, diabetes education and other patient services.

Fully integrated workflow of the RIS/PACS/Reporting solution will be demonstrated at Agfa’s SCAR exhibit in the Austin Convention Center.
