In addition, the new machinery permits greater scheduling flexibility and eliminates extra time in pre-press to accommodate last-minute adjustments.
Southeast Media’s Operations Manager Rick Baker says, “The new press offers many advantages, but the key benefit is improved delivery times.” Because the equipment is similar to the existing presses, we have curtailed the training costs as well as the learning curve to meet new requests promptly. Furthermore, adds Baker, standardizing equipment lowers our spare parts inventory carrying costs.
