NORTH WALES, Pa. – Bagel Spice LLC, the parent company for the increasingly popular bagel seasoning phenomenon Bagel Spice has commemorated its inaugural year by launching a new website, viewable at http://www.bagelspice.com, adding two new spice blends to its popular original recipe and moving production of all the spice blends to a new Kosher facility.

“2011 is going to be the year of Bagel Spice and we are starting it off with a boom,” Bagel Spice creator Bechara Jaoudeh says. “We moved to an advanced kosher certified factory, released two new spice blends and launched a new website. Our goal is to be on every dining room table in America and we are doing everything in our power to get there.”

Begun a little over a year ago as side hobby for Jaoudeh, Bagel Spice is fast becoming a food spice sensation. In the past year, Bagel Spice has been discovered by thousands of bagel eaters who are searching for a way to “spice up” their eating experience. What people are realizing is that these spices are not just tasty on bagels. They have many other uses as well, including:

• Sprinkling them on cream cheese, hummus or other bread spreads
• Shaking them over fried eggs, lox and tuna
• Mixing them with mashed potatoes, egg salad and potato salad for a delightful flavor
• Adding them to salad dressings and vinaigrettes for extra zing in your salads
• Blending them with marinades and sauces for an aromatic kick
• Combining them with your favorite dry rub mixture for delicious meat dishes

The new flavors, Zesty Jalapeno and Bagel Spice with Mediterranean Sea Salt Flakes, are the perfect complements to their salt free Original Recipe. The new flavors add even more spice for those who like to explore new eating adventures, while the Original Recipe can still be enjoyed by those who are on a low sodium diet or for those who have grown to love the flavor.

“Ever since our launch last year, we’ve been flooded with requests from customers asking us to make a spicy version of Bagel Spice - Original Recipe,” Jaoudeh continues. “Our answer is Bagel Spice - Zesty Jalapeno. With Mediterranean sea salt and green jalapeno flakes, it’s sure to satisfy those with a more adventurous palate.”

The new spice blend flavors are not the only improvement Bagel Spice made for 2011. They have also announced a move to a new production facility in St Louis, Mo., that is certified kosher by Vaad Hoeir, a kosher-certification agency internationally known for its high standards of quality.

“When we created Bagel Spice we weren’t really thinking long term. We were excited with the idea and wanted to see if people would like our creation. Selling over 10,000 jars last July alone was the confirmation we needed to move to a larger and more advanced factory. Starting Jan. 1, every jar we sell comes from our kosher certified factory in St. Louis, Mo.”

Bagel Spice is now available in a growing number of retail locations throughout the East Coast region, and can also be purchased from their website at http://www.bagelspice.com/
