New York, NY – – AOL Inc. (NYSE: AOL) today announced that Stephen Bromberg has been named Executive Editor, AOL.com. Bromberg will lead the AOL homepage editorial team to create the most vibrant, informative destination on the web, and will develop and curate content on the AOL homepage that will drive the daily agenda for AOL.com’s 14 million average daily visitors per comScore Media Metrix November 2010.

“Steve is a seasoned journalist with expert news judgment who will bring a laser focus and deep consumer knowledge to AOL.com’s daily content,” said Chris Grosso, GM, AOL.com. “Steve and the entire AOL.com team are tasked with making the new AOL.com the Web’s most influential and inspiring start page.”

“I am looking forward to making AOL.com America’s homepage,” Bromberg said. “We will deliver a constant stream of the most important and engaging content to AOL.com’s media savvy audience 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

The new AOL.com launched on November 1, 2010 and has been programmed to put video front and center and to feature original and sourced content. The new page design was extensively tested by the company and marks the latest step in AOL’s strategy to marry high-quality content with intuitive functionality and technology to create a highly visual and more rewarding experience for users and advertisers. Programming on the new homepage also includes more local news, extensive coverage of major events, and frequent breaking news and feature updates throughout the day.

“You’ve Got...” the video series that debuted with the new AOL.com launch, generated nearly 8 million views in its first month, and featured a diverse guest list including Kelly Ripa, Barack Obama, Matt Damon and the Marines in Afghanistan.* For comparison, that puts “You’ve Got...” on-pace with a top 10 Web series.** Overall, video views on the new AOL.com rose more than 3X in its first month.***

Prior to joining AOL, Bromberg was Executive Editor, Foxnews.com, where he oversaw the development and publication of all online content for the Foxnews.com website.
