WEBWIRE

NORWALK, Conn. -- Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) continues to be recognized by a number of organizations that track sustainability, diversity, governance, ethics and work place environment. Recent honors include:

Sustainability
Xerox ranked 25th in Newsweek magazine’s 2010 Green Rankings of the 500 largest publicly traded companies in America. Newsweek reviewed the various sectors such as green operations, reputation and policies, and environmental impact.

Xerox was named one of the “20 Most Responsible U.S. Companies” in Forbes magazine. Xerox scored well for its strong commitment to ethics, diversity, the environment, and safety.

Gartner placed Xerox in the Leader’s Quadrant for Printers and MFPs in part due to Xerox’s strong environmental record. Xerox was noted for its proprietary solid ink technology -- cartridge-free ink sticks in the company’s ColorQube® multifunction printers that leave a smaller carbon footprint than comparable laser MFPs.

Diversity
Xerox achieved a 100 percent rating on the 2010 Corporate Equality Index and Best Places to Work Survey, administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. The 2010 Corporate Equality Index rates businesses on a scale from 0 to 100. Since the inception of the survey ten years ago, Xerox has consistently received a 100 percent rating.

Xerox was named as one of the “40 Best Companies for Diversity” by Black Enterprise. The companies listed demonstrated a commitment to diversity in one or more of four key areas: board of directors, employee base, senior management and supplier diversity.

Diversity MBA magazine listed Xerox as the 15th company on the “50 Out Front: 2010 Top 50 Companies for Diverse Managers to Work.”

Xerox was listed in LATINA Style Magazine‘s “Top 50 Companies for Latina employees.” The 13th annual report identifies corporations that are providing the best career opportunities for Latinas in the U.S. This year, 800 companies in the U.S. were evaluated.

Xerox Spain received the “Enterprise Equality” award from the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. The company was awarded for consistently managing diversity and equality. Six hundred companies were reviewed with only 36 companies receiving the recognition.

Best Places to Work
Xerox Canada earned a spot on the 2011 Greater Toronto Top Employer list. Employers were evaluated based on each company’s operations and HR practices. Xerox Canada stood out from the rest for supporting older workers with succession and retirement planning workshops.
