Delphi Announces Change in European Management for Aftermarket Business

CERGY, France. — Delphi announced today that Gael Escribe, previously vice president, sales, Delphi Product & Service Solutions (DPSS), Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), became vice president, independent aftermarket, DPSS, EMEA effective January 3, 2011. This position was recently held by Lucia Veiga Moretti, now vice president, global independent aftermarket, DPSS. Also announced was Philippe Guyot, previously deputy general manager, Groupauto International, who joined Delphi as Gael’s replacement as sales director, EMEA, DPSS.

Guyot brings significant business experience with companies such as Sodicam/Renault, Quinton Hazell, Lucas/TRW and Groupauto International, as well as a deep and broad understanding of all the channels and levels of the aftermarket distribution across Europe.

Escribe has a French Business School degree from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen. He started his career in 1993 as Financial Auditor with Mazars & Guerard, and was promoted Senior Auditor in 1995. In 1997, he joined Valeo in France as Financial Controller for the Export Division. In 1999, he was appointed Managing Director of Valeo Distribution Eastern Europe, based in Poland, before being relocated in Netherlands as Managing Director for Valeo Distribution North of Europe. In March 2005, he joined DPSS as Managing Director for Northern & Eastern Europe and France Country Representative. In October 2005, he was promoted to IAM Sales Director, EMEA and more recently was appointed EMEA Director of Sales for IAM and Diesel. A French and Dutch native, Escribe speaks also English, German, Spanish, and has basic knowledge of Polish and Russian.

Guyot has a degree in International Business from the Bernom School of Bordeaux (France). He began his automotive career in 1987 with Sodicam (Renault chemical products and automotive spare parts) as Commercial Manager for the South West region of France. In 1989, he joined Elf Group as Jiffy Lube Manager, in charge of a regional network of quick oil change centers. In 1991, he joined Quinton Hazell as Commercial Manager for the South West Region of France. In 1997, he joined Lucas/TRW as France Network Manager in charge of the development of an independent garage network, specialized in braking. In 1999, Guyot became the Network Development Manager for Groupauto Union France in charge of the implementation and development of a 500 independent garage network. In 2001, he was promoted Commercial & Marketing Manager for Groupauto Union International in charge of the geographical expansion of the group and the implementation of marketing programs for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and trucks. Finally in 2007, Guyot became GAUI Deputy General Manager. He is multi-lingual. He speaks fluent French, English, and Spanish; and has some proficiency in German and Italian.
