Gartner Accepting Nominations for the Business Intelligence Excellence Award

Winner to Be Announced at Gartner BI Summit in Los Angeles, May 2-4

STAMFORD, Conn. - Gartner, Inc. is accepting nominations for its Business Intelligence (BI) Excellence Award. Nominations will be accepted through March 16, 2011 via an online entry form from any end-user organization that has implemented a BI, analytics or performance management (PM) program or project with resulting business impact.

The award recognizes the most successful recent BI implementations by organizations that demonstrate high levels of business impact and overall excellence in the integration of business, decision, analytical and information processes.

Enterprises are invited to enter and work within a case study framework to describe their BI project and why it demonstrates the value of BI, analytics and/or PM. A team of Gartner analysts will evaluate and select three finalists based on a strategic framework developed by Gartner to help companies maximize the probability of success. All entries will be evaluated on:

* The ability to demonstrate excellence in implementation and alignment of the various levels/components of the Gartner BI, Analytics and PM Framework
* Execution and support for applications and strategies that deliver significant business benefits/goal realization

Three finalists will be selected from the submitted applications and announced on April 1, 2011. Each finalist will be asked to present their BI/PM use case to summit delegates at the Gartner BI Summit 2011 on May 3, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, Los Angeles, CA. Summit participants will have the ability to vote for the finalist demonstrating the best example of BI excellence. From this feedback the winner will be selected and announced at the summit.
