BASF increases prices for additives and pigments for plastic applications

WEBWIRE

Ludwigshafen , Germany – Effective today, or as contracts allow, BASF increases prices globally for additives and pigments for plastic applications by a minimum of 7-25% depending on product class.

As the leading supplier for plastic additives, BASF intends to secure future product availability, supply reliability, continuity in quality, service and innovation to best meet our customers’ needs. BASF is committed to the plastic additives business, but current profitability levels are not sufficient to ensure BASF’s ability to invest and further support our customers’ growth, also due to increasing raw material prices.

Price increases will mainly apply to the following product classes:

* Antioxidants and process stabilizers
* Light stabilizers
* Flame retardants
* Pigments
