Alphaport Names Daniel Owens Chief Technology Officer
Cleveland, OH December 13, 2010 - Alphaport, Incorporated, a Cleveland-based provider of engineering services, applied technology, knowledge management and professional development services, recently named Daniel Owens as Chief Technology Officer.
Owens, who previously worked for Alphaport part-time, was promoted in October to Alphaport’s full-time Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As CTO, Owens serves as the expert on technology, software, and information systems for Alphaport’s top-level planning and development. He is responsible for implementation and administration of technology within the company, which includes providing oversight for all software development, network security, and Internet operations.
Owens is a seasoned technical expert having led Information Technology initiatives over the past ten years for some notable organizations such as the Department of Defense, News Corp, Booz Allen Hamilton, Microsoft, Cisco Systems, Xerox, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Owens currently resides in Lorain County.
