Plays in Seattle: Enlightened Message of Scrooge
It is Prairie Home Companion meets Scrooge. Be a part of the audience as the classic holiday tale of “A Christmas Carol” is brought to life through an old time acted radio drama! Sit back, listen and imagine.
Scrooge never was more nasty, the Spirits more scary, or Tiny Tim more heartfelt. Actors, scripts, live sound effects and more - all this plus Rev. Kathianne Lewis’ enlightened interpretation - broadcasting a message of hope and humanity for the holidays.
Christmas events in Seattle are plentiful, but you don’t want to miss this performance of Scrooge. Rev. Michael Ingersoll, director of the play says: “In this new adaptation of the classic – A Christmas Carol – we get to look, for the first time, at the metaphysical messages found throughout the story. Plus, it is wonderful to be able to house the characters, the settings, and the action of the story in an old time “radio drama” format. It is fun, entertaining and dynamic…and all LIVE in the moment. The actors are wonderful and the sound effects happening on stage create a theatrical experience that folks are really going to love. What a joy it is to create this together. God’s creativity is “in the house.”
