Epigentek Releases One Hour ChIP Kit to Meet Next Generation Demands in Chromatin Immunoprecipitation

NEW YORK, Dec 7 – Scientists at Epigentek have developed a next generation ChIP technology which significantly improves chromatin immunoprecipitation speed and efficiency to assist in studies for DNA-protein interaction. This technology is incorporated into its new product, the ChromaFlash(TM) One-Step ChIP Kit (http://www.epigentek.com/chromaflash), which is the fastest ChIP kit currently available on the market.

Next generation sequencing and microarrays are becoming major technologies of massive DNA-protein interaction analysis. The major features of them are their rapidness and high throughput capabilities. The epigenetic experts at Epigentek made sure to develop the ChromaFlash(TM) kits to be compatible with these new technologies and for the rapid and massive generateon of target protein-bound DNA.

With proprietary ChIP reagents and digitally acoustic-controlled reaction conditions, the ChromaFlash(TM) kit allows for chromatin shearing and immunoprecipitation to be simultaneously processed, which greatly accelerates the entire ChIP process -- from chromatin to ready-for-use DNA in less than 1 hour (5-10 times faster than commonly used ChIP kits).

The ChromaFlash(TM) kit includes some the following advantageous features: (1) 96-well microplate format makes the assay flexible for either a manual assay with one single reaction each time or a high throughput assay with 96 reactions each time; (2) highly efficient enrichment with an enrichment ratio of positive to negative control greater than 200, and an extremely low number of cells or tissues required – just 10,000 cells or 0.1 mg tissues per ChIP reaction; and (3) compatible with various downstream analysis workflows including ChIP-PCR, ChIP-on-chip, and ChIP-seq.
