J.P. Morgan Hires Robert Cummings, Jr. as Vice Chairman of Investment Banking

New York - J.P. Morgan announced today that Robert Cummings, Jr. will join the investment bank as Vice Chairman of Investment Banking, based in New York. In his role, Mr. Cummings will advise on important client opportunities across sectors and industry groups. He will report to Jeffrey Urwin and Kevin Willsey, co-heads of Investment Banking in the Americas.

Mr. Cummings spent 27 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in corporate finance advising clients on mergers and acquisitions and strategic financing. After retiring from Goldman Sachs in 2001, he studied art history at Columbia University and sat on the boards of several companies controlled by an alternative asset manager. Mr. Cummings currently sits on the boards of directors of two publicly owned companies, Corning Incorporated and Viasystems Group.
