Communications Provider Chose Juniper Networks E- and M-Series as the Foundation of its Multiservice Network
SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 18th, 2006 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) today announced that Broadview Networks, a leading facilities-based communications provider in the Northeast U.S., has expanded its deployment of Juniper Networks E- and M-series routing platforms to migrate to a next-generation IP/MPLS-based network. Broadview is upgrading to increase flexibility, support new advanced IP-based services, and to better meet dynamic network requirements. Broadview chose the Juniper platforms based on their reliability, performance and scalability.

“Juniper’s best-in-class platforms are an integral part of Broadview’s strategic initiative to deliver next-generation, converged IP services over an efficient MPLS-based network,” said Ken Shulman, chief technology officer and chief information officer of Broadview Networks. “In combination with our softswitch and application server deployments, our Juniper MPLS network enables the delivery of multiple, advanced IP-based services over a single network infrastructure, while differentiating between different service and application types based on priority and service plan options. And, with our unique software automation capabilities and patented operations support systems and processes, and our certified excellence in customer support, Broadview can deliver these new services with industry-leading flexibility, transparency and support.”

Broadview offers a full suite of voice, high-speed data and integrated access solutions to both business and wholesale customers throughout the Northeast U.S., including hosted and premises-based VoIP systems, DSL, Integrated T1, Internet T1 and T3 communications products and services.

Juniper Networks E-series Broadband Services Routers and M-series multiservice routing platforms together deliver a comprehensive portfolio of advanced features that uniquely combine best-in-class IP/MPLS capabilities with unmatched reliability, performance, and scalability. With the ability to support both existing and emerging Layer 2 and Layer 3 IP-based services simultaneously, the Juniper routing platforms provide a non-disruptive migration path for service providers looking to benefit from the increased efficiency and flexibility of a multi-service IP/MPLS network, without obsolescing existing networking equipment. Both platforms are deployed in the world’s largest networks, and consistently support a wide range of advanced voice, video and data service offerings.

“We are very pleased that Broadview chose Juniper Networks routing platforms to form the foundation of its multiservice IP/MPLS network,” said Shailesh Shukla, vice president of service provider marketing and partnerships, Juniper Networks. “As an integrated solutions provider, they recognized the need to build an open, agile, and customized network infrastructure for the delivery of advanced IP-based services, and Juniper delivered the features required to enable this next phase of their network evolution.”

The new routing platforms are being supplied by local Juniper Elite partner Solunet.
