Farleys Solicitors Awarded New Actions Against Detaining Authorities Contract


The Manchester office of Farleys Solicitors LLP have been awarded a prestigious new contract by the Legal Service Commission (LSC) to provide legal advice within the area of actions against detaining authorities. the contract covers new matter starts in physical, psychological and sexual abuse compensation claims, claims against public authorities and legal advice/representation for Inquests.

The firm already holds a contract with the LSC to provide advice within this area at the Blackburn and Accrington offices. The new contract however allows this work to be undertaken at the Manchester and Burnley offices, representing a significant extension to the previous contract.

This new contract was the result of a very competitive tender process and will start from 15th November 2010.

Commenting on the new contract, Jonathan Bridge, Partner in actions against detaining authorities at Farleys said :
