Red Lambda Expands Into Europe, Middle East and Africa and Hires Veteran Mike Hemes to Lead Sales Organization

Red Lambda, Inc., a leading provider of massively scalable and identity-aware network security software, announces its expansion into Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with the opening of its UK headquarters and appointment of Mike Hemes as Vice President of EMEA Sales Operations. Mr. Hemes brings to Red Lambda over 20 years of EMEA sales leadership in early stage companies within the network and security markets.

According to industry analyst firm Canalys, global enterprise security spend is on course to grow 13.8 percent in 2010 to reach $15 billion (£9.8 billion). EMEA is predicted to be the fastest-growing region, with sales up 15.2 percent to $5 billion (£3.3 billion).

Mr. Hemes will report to Todd Krautkremer, Chief Operating Officer, and will oversee Red Lambda’s EMEA sales operations with responsibility for executing business strategy, sales, channel development and strategic partnering. He has over 20 years’ experience in private and public companies spanning network and security technologies. Previous senior sales leadership and market development roles include Sales Director of EMEA and APAC at Cymphonix, Regional Director of UK, Ireland and South Africa at Blue Coat Systems (BCSI), and Country Manager of UK and Ireland at Packeteer (acquired by Blue Coat Systems).
