CompareAway Launches Next Generation of Holiday Rental Search

The holiday rental market was taken onto a new level this week when www.CompareAway.co.uk launched as a real time aggregator for agent managed self catering holiday rentals.

It is the first time that anybody has managed to bring together the leading holiday rental agents onto one site and allow users to search by real time pricing and availability. Holiday makers can quickly and easily find the best deals on holiday rentals in a similar manner to that of booking rooms for the hotel industry.

“This will remove a big headache for anyone who is familiar with trying to find an exact price or even availability on self catering holiday rentals” says Gibson, Managing Director. “We only show properties available on your dates of travel, along with their actual price. It means you can find the cheapest deals quickly and easily”.

However, the biggest benefit is www.CompareAway.co.uk eradicates any chance of falling victim to the self catering holiday rental scams that are affecting so many UK based listing sites. Bradley says “We completely remove the issue of being caught out by a rental scam as you deal directly with our pre-approved and vetted agents. You can even choose to book selected properties that are protected by ABTA. Gone are the days when you had to search several different sites and then email the owner to ask if their property was available, wondering whether you were talking to the actual owner!”

To many this business may seem obvious; the hotel and package holiday market has operated like this for many years. However the self catering holiday market, now more popular than ever, has lagged behind due to being a very fragmented market and lack of investment in the IT infrastructure.

The CompareAway site has so far been built and funded by the two entrepreneurs behind the site, Chris Bradley and Andrew Gibson. Following three years of hard work they have now released the site ready for the start of the holiday booking season.

Successful trials in beta (before the site was completed) have meant that CompareAway have attracted the attention of some serious investors. Gibson did confirm that they have been approached with investment offers from some industry heavyweights, but would not be drawn on who they are.
