NEC is already working with NTT DOCOMO, INC. and KDDI Corporation on the development and production of LTE solutions. In addition, NEC has participated in LTE field trials with the SingTel Group and Telefonica S.A. NEC aims to leverage its LTE development and field experience in order to maximize the company’s contributions to the early commercialization of LTE.

By using NEC’s LTE small cells and compact products, mobile operators can tailor the provision of their LTE services according to capacity demand from small-scale to wide-scale commercial deployments. NEC’s small cells are SON managed, which allows mobile operators to deploy and operate LTE efficiently, easily and quickly and at a lower cost than previous 2G and 3G deployments.
