FALLS CHURCH, Va., – CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it is one of three companies awarded the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) infrastructure and deployment services indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract. The contract, which was awarded during CSC’s fiscal 2011 first quarter, has a five-year period of performance and an estimated total value of $565 million for all firms.

Under the terms of the contract, CSC will compete for task orders to provide advisory and assistance services to the MDA’s Military Construction and Environmental Management Office; Worldwide Deployment Program Office; Combatant Commands; and Wargames Exercises and Operations Office. Work under these contracts will be performed in Huntsville, Ala.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; the National Capital Region; and other MDA locations.

“CSC has supported the Missile Defense Agency and its predecessor organizations, the Strategic Defense Initiative Organization and the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization for more than 25 years,” said Austin Yerks, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector Defense Group. “We look forward to continuing our successful relationship and delivering significant operational results that support MDA’s goals.”

This contract falls under the Missile Defense Agency Engineering and Support Services initiative, which aims to consolidate resources, enhance the sharing of expertise and knowledge, centralize the acquisition of support services manpower in a more efficient manner and reduce overhead costs enterprise-wide. In addition to this agency infrastructure and deployment services contract, CSC also recently won an IDIQ contract for MDA operations support.
