American Express Selects EMC to Provide Managed Services for Its Distributed Storage Environment

Multi-Year Agreement Enables American Express To Maximize IT Flexibility and Performance While Improving Cost Structure

Hopkinton, Mass.-Wednesday, April 12, 2006, EMC Corporation, the world leader in information management and storage, announced today that American Express has signed a multi-year services agreement with EMC to manage American Express’ distributed storage environment, which is comprised of its core business-critical applications and thousands of servers. With comprehensive onsite managed services, EMC will provide American Express with high performance, flexibility and efficiency throughout its distributed storage environment.
