WEBWIRE, online travel retailer, has launched a new online scratch card game that gives customers the chance to win loyalty points which can be redeemed against future train tickets.

The scratch card scheme was tested in Manchester and Birmingham, where customers were given scratch cards at the train station. They could then redeem any loyalty points that they won online and use them against future cheap train tickets.

The scratch card game is now available on’s website, with 50,000 online scratch cards, each with a loyalty value on them. Customers can get up to £1000 worth of points online, and are still waiting for two £1000 prizes to be claimed that were won from the Manchester and Birmingham scratch cards.

Customers can also play the virtual scratch card game through the’s website. Players simply enter their name and email address, and then scratch off their card with a virtual coin. The scratch card then reveals how many loyalty points the customer has received and how much this is worth off their next train journey. Customers can then log in and use their points when they are booking their train tickets online.
