Julie Spira to Receive WOW Award at Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters Luncheon

Bestselling author Julie Spira will be the recipient of the WOW Award by Jewish Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Los Angeles on October 7, 2010.

For the past four years, JBBBS - LA has honored women who have made a lasting impact in the lives of the community’s youth at the Big Dreams Luncheon. CBS 2 and KCAL 9 Weather Anchor/Reporter Kaj Goldberg will be the special guest host at the annual luncheon to be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

“It is such an honor to receive this distinguished award from an agency that means so much to me,” says Spira. Spira, a member of the Board of Directors and Big Sister at Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters, is being recognized for her philanthropic efforts and mentoring in the Los Angeles community.

In addition, JBBBS will be honoring Debbee Klein Schwartz, Co-Head TV Literary, Paradigm with the Community Impact Award and the Honorable Wendy Greuel, Los Angeles City Controller will receive the Innovator Award.
