Scientific Atlanta Expands Options for Operators with OCAP Platform

ATLANTA, GA - THE NATIONAL SHOW - April 10, 2006 - To support the interoperability of OpenCableTM Application Platform (OCAPTM) applications across cable networks, Scientific Atlanta, A Cisco Company, has announced extensive hardware and software support for the industry standard. The Scientific Atlanta OCAP products include the company’s OCAP Digital Network Control System Release 4.0 series, OCAP AxiomTM middleware implementation and OCAP-capable set-tops.

During the March 2006 CableLabs® OCAP Interop event, Scientific Atlanta participated with multiple other hardware and software vendors to illustrate the interoperability of its OCAP platform. Scientific Atlanta has been an active participant in the CableLabs Interop program and continues to support new industry standards from CableLabs and other organizations that foster a unified environment for developing entertainment, information and communications services.
