San Antonio Author Starts Travel Charity In Memory of Late Wife
San Antonio, Texas - In April 2006, 27 year-old Daria Lynn Pursel was diagnosed with terminal kidney cancer and given two months to live. Married in the hospital and for the honeymoon they would never share, San Antonian author Gabriel Lara made a deathbed promise to take her remains and scatter them all over Europe. As fate would have it, her first husband offered to and accompanied Gabriel on what would be a life changing, six week, backpacking pilgrimage.
Now after backpacking Europe four times in two years, Gabriel has begun a first-of-its kind travel charity called A Passport To Giving. Its mission is to fulfill the last travel wish of terminal cancer patients.
To raise money for the new charity, Gabriel has released his own European Travel Guide entitled “Secrets of European Travel” which has already been distributed in 39 countries worldwide.
“100% of all bookings through the travel guide raise money for ’A Passport To Giving’ and we are looking to provide the first grants by the end of this year” stated Gabriel.
This is Gabriel’s third guide on budget European travel. The other two guides “The European Airport Survival Guide” and “101 Free Things To Do In Europe” are now included as free gifts with “Secrets of European Travel”.
He is available for interviews and will both entertain and educate your audience.
