Judge Deborah Chimes Endorsed for New York State Supreme Court

Orchard Park Town Justice Deborah Chimes has been endorsed for New York State Supreme Court for the Eighth Judicial District, which includes Erie, Niagara, Wyoming, Orleans, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties. She will appear on the Republican and Conservatives lines in the November election.

Judge Chimes is currently serving her second term as Orchard Park Town Justice having been first elected in 2004. She was the first woman elected to the position of Town Justice in Orchard Park. She is an acting judge for the Village of Orchard Park and for ten years served as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau.

Judge Chimes has been rated Qualified by the Independent Judicial Election Qualification, Qualified by the Erie County Bar Association and the Minority Bar Association and Highly Qualified with very good legal experience, very good judicial temperament and good reasoning ability by the Women’s Bar Association, Western New York Chapter.

Judge Chimes, a life-long resident of Western New York, is a 1989 graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Law and a 1985 cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Judge Chimes is a twenty year trial attorney with experience in State and Federal trial courts throughout the Eighth Judicial District.

Judge Chimes is a member of the New York State Magistrates Association, is Secretary to the Erie County Magistrates Association, is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association, the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Women’s Bar Association. She is also a long time member of the Professional and Business Women of Polonia, is a member of the American Business Women’s Association, Niagara Falls Chapter, the Polish American Congress and the Advocates Club, an association of attorneys of Polish Heritage.
