New ColorPath Sync Solution Added to Taskero Universe™ ColorPath Verified®

Valhalla, N.Y., September 27, 2010 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation today announced that at GRAPH EXPO 2010 its Graphic Systems Division will launch ColorPath Sync, a G7 alignment tool and the latest addition to its Taskero Universe ColorPath Verified solution. Produced to relieve the struggles often associated with aligning equipment using G7 methods that have recently become the benchmark for synchronizing color output, ColorPath Sync is a Web-based tool for creating one-dimensional curves for equipment in a printing environment.

“G7 has become a common method for achieving gray balance that print buyers expect their print providers to use so they know for certain that no matter where their signs, graphics and marketing collateral is printed, the common appearance will be the same across the board,” said Don Schroeder, director of solution development, Graphic Systems Division, FUJIFILM North America Corporation. “ColorPath Sync exemplifies Fujifilm’s continued R&D efforts towards adding practical features to our ColorPath Verified solution that will help our print partners boost efficiency, reduce the cost of labor and materials and produce the highest quality output for their own customers.”

FUJIFILM ColorPath Sync offers printers industry leading results for greater color accuracy and offers organized, centralized access any where an internet connection is available. Information from ColorPath Sync can be exported directly to Rampage, which helps eliminate the potential for human error, or can be done manually for any other CTP workflow. The G7 alignment tool also offers spectral based density and tonal value increase (TVI) calculations for greater densitometric accuracy. Advanced charts and graphs offer more accurate qualification on input press sheet data. Using an application service provider (ASP) model, customers using ColorPath Sync can rest easy that they are always using the most current version of the software.

ColorPath Sync’s intuitive interface offers user-friendly charts that enable on-the-fly color correction, while enabled iterative color correction increases accuracy and minimizes downtime. Data storage is cloud-based, which means it is offsite, secured and always backed-up.

Taskero Universe ColorPath Verified is a complete process control solution, which monitors and aligns color from a printer’s computer monitor straight through to the press. It is also the recipient of the 2009 InterTech® Technology Award. Taskero Universe ColorPath Verified with ColorPath Sync will be monitoring equipment throughout Fujifilm booth #1469 and at other booths throughout the show floor at GRAPH EXPO 2010.
