Ooh and Aah are the New Sounds for Temecula Dining

WEBWIRE

As the server left the table, Oak Mountain winery’s staff heard sounds never before associated with a Temecula Restaurant. The “oohs” and “aahs” and “oh my goshes” preceded statements like; “this looks too pretty to eat.” If there had been a fly on the wall with its eyes closed, the sounds of the guests would have transported it to an art museum setting or fashion showcase rather than sitting at an impeccably set table for 20 at Oak Mountain Winery. The oohs and aahs were for another magic night with Chef Michael of Temecula Catering (http://Temecula-Catering.com).

Tonight Chef Michael started with a watermelon/ahi poke. Flash bulbs lit up the night as half the table took photos of our amuse bouche. He followed up with grilled shrimp, chorizo, fingerling potatoes and salsa verde. You might think that salsa verde is common but this one was anything but. Its flavor exploded in your mouth and yet was quite sophisticated. Not a drop was left on any plates. Lobster bisque soup preceded the entrée of lobster and sous vide filet mignon with rosemary pomme puree, roasted potatoes and summer veggies. How many ways can you say WOW! So tender. So flavorful! So perfect! Then came dessert. A flourless chocolate cake with carmel glazed pineapple, coconut broth and strawberry coulis. It was so sophisticated, rich and quite fabulous! The perfect compliment for a perfect night!

Oak Mountain Winery (http://OakMountainWinery.com) has been the first to latch hold of Chef Michael and his talent for creating food that lives up to the high quality of wine served by Temecula’s many wineries. People have attended Temecula wineries serving BBQ or shredded pork or pasta at their premier events – each of these foods is good with a nice beer or boxed wine but hardly do justice to the events or quality Temecula wine. For most, these dishes drag down the flavors and aromas of the wine.

Hopefully Oak Mountain has set the standard for a new trend for Temecula Wineries where people can expect the quality of the food to compliment the wine drinking experience. Hopefully the staff will be hearing oohs and aahs from more Temecula wineries (http://Temecula-Wineries.net) as people savor meals like served last night by Temecula Catering (http://Temecula-Catering.com). Join Oak Mountain (http://oakmountainwinery.com) on October 23rd for their next Winemaker’s Meal.
