Manchester Accountant offering more than just management consultancy

Robert Wilkinson established North West based RSW Consulting after a year spent in Australia. As a qualified accountant and management consultant, he had spent many years working for major insolvency practitioners in the UK, such as Begbies Traynor, Baker Tilly and Deloittes.

Something happened during that trip which would change the course of his life as well as many of the clients he now works with. “Perhaps it was being at the opposite side of the world, but the general positive attitude of people in Australia got me thinking how I could use my experience in a pro-active way – helping businesses to survive, rather than advising them on how to close!” states Robert. “Maybe the weather helped too!” he adds.

Unlike most other management consultants, Robert is also keen to give advice on the personal aspects of running a business. “For most SME business owners, the physical demands of managing a company can have a massive impact on their personal lives. I like to look at both aspects, building on the strengths of the individual as well as the strengths of the business – call it alchemy if you like, but it needs to strike the right balance” states Robert.

RSW Consulting is unique in their approach. Combining personal and business goals and establishing an easy to use formula to keep the business owners on track – and happy!

People don’t have to travel to Emerald City to see him either! Robert will be holding a Personal Development workshop on Wednesday, 29 September 2010 as part of the Social Circle list of events. He will be talking about the concept of designing a life, rather than making a living, and it promises to be a real eye opener for those who think management consultants are all the same. He doesn’t promise there will be a ‘magical solution’ for each person, but will share his experiences and tips on achieving success in one personal and business lives.
