Digital download kiosks from NCR and MOD Systemsavailable now at 20 InMotion stores nationwide, provide entertainment downloads in the same time it takes to buy a magazine

DULUTH, Ga. – NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) and MOD Systems are bringing digital movies to travelers with the first Download2Go™ digital kiosks at 20 InMotion Entertainment stores in 12 U.S. airports. Travelers now can download digital movies to Secure Digital (SD) cards in the same amount of time it takes to purchase a magazine. In about two minutes, consumers can own or rent new release and catalog titles for playback on Windows computers and the movies are always in stock and never need to be returned.

NCR and MOD Systems completed the first installations in Atlanta and Seattle on July 16. Download2Go kiosks are now deployed in Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson, Denver International, John F Kennedy International, Lambert-St. Louis International, Los Angeles International, Memphis International, Phoenix Sky Harbor, Sacramento International, Salt Lake City International, San Antonio International, San Francisco International, and Seattle-Tacoma International airports. The digital kiosks will be installed in additional airports and InMotion stores over the course of the next year.

Download2Go kiosks offer consumers the first opportunity to purchase or rent digital movies in GreenPlay™ format by transferring content to portable SD cards, and watching on Windows PCs and a growing number of consumer electronics devices. In addition to digital movies, consumers will be able to download television shows to SD cards, and music tracks and albums to flash drives and directly to MP3 players this fall.

Download2Go kiosks provide consumers a faster way to access movies on the fly – without having to connect their laptops or mobile devices to the Internet.

“NCR and MOD Systems have delivered a highly innovative solution for putting movies into our customers’ hands as they get ready for long flights ahead,” said Jeremy Smith, president of InMotion Entertainment. “Our customers love the idea of loading up an SD card that pops right into their laptop, with hours of enjoyment from the latest hit movies that are never out of stock and don’t need to be returned.”

“Previous entertainment for travelers on the go was minimal, and what was available was inflexible,” said Justin Hotard, vice president and general manager, NCR Entertainment. “Through this new service, we are expanding consumers’ access to music and movies in airports as well as diversifying this access onto multiple devices. We are thrilled to be bringing more robust entertainment choices to consumers while they are on the go with Download2Go kiosks. This new technology allows travelers access to simple, affordable and flexible entertainment.”

Today, Download2Go kiosks allow InMotion customers to select from more than 2,600 movies from several major and independent film studios. Pricing is competitive with Internet delivery of movies, with most movie rentals at $3.99 and purchases from $12.99 to $19.99. For movie rentals, consumers have 30 days from purchase to watch, and once the movie rental is started, can watch as many times as they like for 48 hours for most titles.

Consumers can use (and reuse) their own SD memory cards to download movies or purchase a card in the InMotion store. Consumers can play movies on Windows PCs and televisions (using the GreenPlay Digital Media Player) with support for additional consumer electronics devices in the future.

NCR and MOD Systems are expanding the Download2Go digital kiosk beyond airports, providing customers with convenient and affordable access to their favorite entertainment titles in locations nationwide.
