ANSI 5010 Requires Medisoft Version 17

HIPAA 2.0 requires ANSI 5010 formatting for all electronic claims submission. Only Medisoft Version 17 offers ANSI 5010 capability. This will require all Medisoft users submitting electronic insurance claims to be on V17 which is scheduled for release in December. Upgrade rules state that only practices must be within two versions of the current release to get upgrade pricing. To help with the cost of HIPAA 2.0 compliance, McKesson has authorized an upgrade for all versions of Medisoft to the current version which is 16. Once on V16, practices can take advantage of promotional pricing on version 17. This move will save users hundreds of dollars and in some cases over $1,000. The promotion has been extended until September 24. All orders must be in by noon of that day.
