America’s Next Top Model and Hellcats Improve The CW’s Wednesday Night

The combination of America’s Next Top Model and Hellcats has given The CW a major boost on Wednesday night compared to last year. Overall, The CW’s Wednesday night has improved 12% in women 18-34 (1.9/6), 8% in adults 18-34 (1.3/4), 13% in women 18-49 (1.7/5), 20% in adults 18-49 (1.2/4), 136% in female teens (2.6/10), 114% in teens (1.5/6) and 33% in total viewers versus a year ago, according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010.

Against an throng of competitive reality premieres, finales and specials, The CW’s America’s Next Top Model improved over last week’s cycle 15 debut, gaining 7% among adults 18-34 (1.5/5), 5% in women 18-34 (2.2/7), 6% in women 18-49 (1.9/6), 21% in females 12-34 (2.3/8), 8% in persons 12-34 (1.4/4) and 4% in viewers (2.9mil)

Top Model built in the 8:30 half hour in every demo, including 20% in women 18-34, 7% in adults 18-34, 17% in women 18-49, 17% in adults 18-49 and 15% in total viewers.

The second outing of Hellcats held up well in the face of all of the original reality competition, retaining 90% of last week’s debut in total viewers (2.7mil), 86% in adults 18-34 (1.2/4) and 92% in adults 18-49 (1.1/3).

Hellcats delivered big time period gains for The CW compared to a year ago, up 55% in women 18-34 (1.7/5), 50% in adults 18-34 (1.2/4), 56% in women 18-49 (1.4/4), 83% in adults 18-49 (1.1/3) and 93% in total viewers (2.7mil).
