(WESTFIELD, IN) — Spill 911 is excited to introduce our full line of Absorbent Booms. Absorbent Booms help contain larger spills on land and in water. Depending on the type of spill that needs to be contained there are two different types of absorbent booms to choose from SkimResponse and HazResponse. SkimResponse helps to absorb petroleum-based spills. If acids, bases or unknown liquids are present then it’s better to use the HazResponse Absorbent Booms.

SkimResponse Absorbent Booms have a strong mesh outer sleeve encased in a poly sock skin filled with highly-absorbent polypropylene. This Boom-In-A-Net design helps keep the boom from shedding while in use. It’s polypropylene filler repels and floats on water while only absorbing oils and other hydrocarbons. These oil-only booms are completely saturated when the white color is no longer white.

HazResponse Absorbent Booms contain and absorb hazardous or unknown spills and keep them from spreading. This safety yellow polypropylene-filled hazmat absorbent boom will contain and soak up acids, bases and unknown fluids quickly.

Linking Absorbent Booms together by using their easy to use carbon steel connector clips will create a containment system big enough to handle almost any size spill. A nylon rope makes it easy to haul in the boom for easy retrieval.
