“Life Center believes the 2010 Singing Tree production will be an eye opening experience for everyone regardless of background or personal beliefs”

Tacoma, WA—(September 7, 2010) - Life Center Church is preparing early this year in order to give people ample time to purchase tickets and to spread the word about one of the largest and longest running production traditions in the country. This year’s Christmas event is “I Believe”, and Life Center has graced this year’s production with its own website which can be found at www.singingtreetacoma.com. The format for this year’s production is a heart-warming story set in Central Park, New York.

“Christmas can be a very happy and memorable experience but it can also personify existing difficulties people are struggling with like finding themselves alone at Christmas while others are celebrating,” said Pastor Dean Curry at Life Center. “This year we don’t want anyone to be alone, so we are extending a statewide invitation to an eye opening experience that people young, old and in-between will remember for a lifetime"

How far is it to Central Park? If you can get to Tacoma, you’re there! The 2010 production employs the use of nearly 100,000 lights of all colors. There are roughly 175 performers and musicians. The church uses about 100 additional staff members and volunteers to organize and stage the event. If there are people out there that want get involved with set design, be part of the wardrobe team, lighting, sound, or construction, Life Center wants to encourage them to call. Then there’s that huge, beautifully decorated tree filled with choir members accompanied by a full orchestra. Everyone is welcome—it’s all about people at Life Center.

Tickets went on sale September 4th and can be purchased online at the ticket page of the Singing Tree website. Tickets will also be available for purchase by visiting the church during regular office hours (from 8:30am to 5pm) or by calling the church direct at (253) 761-2147. Once people have had the chance to experience the production they will be able to post comments on the Singing Christmas Tree website. Local business can also help Tacoma by promoting their business on the production website and/or in the playbill program.

There will be 14 performances to choose from beginning Saturday, December 4th at 2:00 pm with the last performance on Wednesday, December 22nd at 7:30pm. For the complete schedule go to the Singing Tree ticket page at www.singingtreetacoma.com/Tickets.html.
