Joe Ferry Interview With Ken Compton Reveals Two Home Inspection Marketing Secrets

WEBWIRE

Atlanta, GA, August, 2010: In a recent interview, Joe Ferry spoke with Ken Compton, founder of Home Inspection Marketing Center. During the course of this radio broadcasted conversation, Ken explained how effective home inspection marketing is the single most important factor to help home inspectors achieve the success they desire.

Ken owns a home inspection firm of his own, Southern Home Inspection Services. He learned to be a master marketer by trial and error after leaving corporate America. In the past 11 years, his own home inspection company’s sales have been in excess of nine million dollars.

While speaking with a home inspector who was inspecting the home Ken was looking to purchase, he discovered a reoccurring theme with home inspectors; they didn’t consistently market their business.

Ken decided to start his own home inspection marketing business and over the last three years, he has acquired home inspection coaching clients in all 50 states and five foreign countries. Now, he shares how his home inspection marketing skills can help a home inspector effectively market his company and still have the time to do what they do best - home inspections.

Ken stated in the interview, the reason home inspection businesses fail is they do not have a written marketing plan. There are two things which are critical to a home inspection business’ success. The first is that nobody buys anything unless they understand what is in it for them. So all home inspection marketing strategies must answer that question upfront. You have to put the right message to the right market. And what do home owners want the most? It is to avoid buying a “money pit”.

The second critical factor is that people must like you, know you and trust you before they will do business with your firm and refer you to others. Ken states, “The home inspection business is a relationship business above all else. If you give first, you will get second.” He went on to say when a home inspector gives away free information which potential home buyers can use, it establishes their company as a trustworthy expert in the home inspection field.
