Jennifer Levene Bruno Named Publisher Of Veranda Magazine

NEW YORK, - Jennifer Levene Bruno has been named publisher of VERANDA magazine, it was announced by Michael A. Clinton, president, marketing and publishing director of Hearst Magazines. Bruno was formerly associate publisher of advertising for House Beautiful since April 2007. In her new role, effective in September, she will oversee VERANDA’s advertising and marketing initiatives and will report to Clinton. She succeeds Sims Bray, Jr., who will remain on as a consultant at the company until the end of the year.

As associate publisher of House Beautiful, Bruno was instrumental in the magazine’s advertising and revenue growth. During her tenure, House Beautiful was named to Advertising Age’s “Magazine A-List” in 2008; ad pages are currently up eight percent year-to-date through September.

Prior to House Beautiful, Bruno was advertising director at Glamour and Organic Style and eastern advertising director at This Old House Ventures. Previously, she was corporate regional sales director at Hachette Filipacchi Media, where she created customized integrated marketing programs for more than 21 magazines, including Elle Décor, Home and Metropolitan Home. Bruno began her publishing sales career at Woman’s Day and Woman’s Day Special Interest Publications.
