Hotel Indigo Pledges Up to $20,000 to Adopt-a-Pet.com

Hotel Indigo the upscale chain of pet friendly boutique hotels has agreed to donate up to $20,000 to Adopt-a-Pet.com, the non-profit pet adoption charity that helps shelters, humane societies, SPCAs, pet rescue groups and pet adoption agencies.

Hotel Indigo will donate $1 to Adopt-a-Pet.com for every “Like” on the Hotel Indigo Facebook home page at http://www.facebook.com/HotelIndigo up to $10,000 – If the Hotel Indigo Facebook site gets 15,000 “Likes” or more before 15th October 2010 Hotel Indigo will donate $20,000 to Adopt-a-Pet.com

It’s easy to donate, Facebook members just visit http://www.facebook.com/HotelIndigo and click on the “Like” button. If you don’t have a Facebook account yet please get one so you can donate to this cause - every dollar counts!

You’ll be helping Adopt-a-Pet.com to connect adopters with shelter pets and help pets to go from alone to adopted, and support the good people at shelters and rescue groups that find homes for their pets across North America.

To get the $20,000 donated, Hotel Indigo urges everyone to tell friends, tell pet lovers and tell your local animal shelters about this campaign. Please use the “Email this Release” link on the right side of this page to email this information to your friends, family and to people at work.

Adopt-a-Pet.com knows that traveling with a pet strengthens the bond people have with their pets, and can make pet adoption more likely, more permanent and much more fun too!

Hotel Indigo goes beyond being a pet friendly hotel group by providing pawfect services “Like” canine treats and large dog beds; some Hotel Indigos have adopted a dog which lives with the manager and serves as the hotels mascot!

Other Hotel Indigos run ‘Canine Cocktails’ hosPETality events where local neighborhood residents, hotel guests and their pets get together and enjoy treats for all. Cocktail selections for pet owners may include Salty Dogs and Greyhounds, whilst the four-legged visitors get to grips with yummy canine treats.

Hotel Indigo launched on Facebook in May 2010 and had 350 Likes when the Adopt-a-Pet.com campaign started at 6:30 AM EST on 23 August. Updates on the campaigns progress will be posted on the Hotel Indigo Facebook and Twitter sites.
