EMSL Testing Lab Strengthens Commitment to Quality With A2LA Accreditation

EMSL’s corporate laboratory in Cinnaminson, NJ has received their new A2LA scope of accreditation, which now includes Env. Lead (Soil, Paint Chips, Dust Wipes, Air). Lead in Air - NIOSH 7105 - GFAA, Trace Metals, Total Lead, Consumer Safety Specs for Toy Safety, Cadmium in Childrens’ metal jewelry and childrens’ non-metal products.

Lead in consumer products, such as toys and jewelry, presents a potentially dangerous hazard to the public, especially to young children. Various plastics, paints and other surface coatings have historically utilized lead and other heavy metals as stabilizers. The deterioration of lead in some products, upon handling and if ingested or inhaled, can cause serious health effects.
