Mobile Food Collective Funded Through Kickstarter.com

Brattleboro, VT, USA - The Mobile Food Collective has successfully reached their funding goals through crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.com.

The Mobile Food Collective (MFC) is a fleet of larger mobile structures which house harvest tables, storage cabinets, and seats. Smaller mobile units will consist of bikes and trailors which can carry the storage units.

“The mobility of the project allows this (food) dialogue to be constant and moveable... we can go where we are needed”, said an MFC representative.

According to their Project Description on the Kickstarter website, MFC plans on using the funds raised to complete the steelwork design and building out their fleet of bikes and trailors.

“This is a very unique project, and one that probably would not have been successful through traditional funding methods”, said Tellman Knudson, founder of CrowdfundingSecrets.net. “I suspect that their use of video in describing the project had a lot to do with its success.”

According to the Kickstarter website, the Mobile Food Collective raised $12,875, with 208 funders backing the project. One backer, who pledged over $1,000 will receive a private dinner hosted by the MFC.
