Metso to supply complete tissue machine to Augusta Tissue Mill in the USA
Metso Paper will supply a complete tissue machine to Augusta Tissue Mill, LLC. The machine will be located at the company’s mill in Augusta, Georgia. Production is scheduled to begin during the end of 2006 or early 2007.The value of the order is below EUR 10 million.
The Advantage DCT 100 tissue machine will have a nominal wire width of 2.7 m and an operating speed of 1,600 m/min. The daily production based on recycled fiber will be 80-100 short tons per day (73-91 metric tonnes) of high-quality towel and bathroom tissue grades.
Augusta Tissue is a new company to the tissue business. The plant is built adjacent to the old Ponderosa recycled fiber mill site in Augusta.
