Siemens awards major application management contract to Siemens IT Solutions and Services

Munich, Germany, Siemens AG has commissioned Siemens IT Solutions and Services to implement a global support concept for large areas of the company’s IT landscape. This includes the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, Business Intelligence solutions, Supply Chain Management, Collaboration Software, and a wide range of Web applications outside Germany. With a volume of approximately 150 million euros, the contract will provide support for a total of around 60,000 users over a period of five years. With this contract award, Siemens aims to further standardize its processes and tools, enhancing their transparency and improving quality and availability while cutting costs at the same time.
