Verizon Business Positioned in Leaders Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services, North America

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. - Gartner Inc. has positioned Verizon Business in the Leaders quadrant of the analyst firm’s new report, “Magic Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services, North America.”¹ The report follows the company’s recent Leaders quadrant positioning in Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services, Worldwide.”²

Gartner examined 17 U.S.-based providers of IT services for business communications systems - including both fixed and mobile connectivity. Specific IT services evaluated include maintenance and support, consulting, application development, integration, and ongoing management of IT and related business processes.

The market for outsourcing management of communications systems to third-party vendors continues to gain significant traction among businesses of all sizes. Current Gartner forecasts project that the North American communications outsourcing market will be $70 billion this year, an increase of 7.8 percent from 2009.
