Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision, Ability to Execute

SINGAPORE - Leading industry-analyst firm Gartner Inc. has placed Verizon Business in the Leaders quadrant among Asia-Pacific network services providers in Gartner’s new report, “Magic Quadrant for Asia/Pacific Network Service Providers.”¹

The report evaluates providers of international network services to multinational companies (MNCs) with regional networks in Asia-Pacific. The providers focus on data services, especially IP virtual private networks (VPNs) and, increasingly, Ethernet offerings. Most also offer voice services, especially voice over IP and IP telephony in association with IP VPNs.

Gartner notes in the report that “network service providers are making good progress. MNCs have a wide choice of service providers, offering improved network service quality and competitive pricing. In addition, most providers have rolled out a portfolio of important managed services, including WAN management and optimization, Internet Protocol (IP) telephony, network security and video conferencing. Several players are also rolling out cloud computing services - in particular, infrastructure as a service - to further differentiate themselves.”

Andrew Dobbins, Verizon Business regional vice president, Asia-Pacific, said: “Verizon Business in Asia-Pacific is going from strength to strength as a result of our continued investment in our network, solutions, services and people, which enables us to better support our customers’ evolving business requirements. In this past year, we have seen strong adoption of our expanding cloud-based solutions and managed services portfolios, as well as our professional service support, as customers look to leverage the Verizon Business team’s skills and expertise to help maximize their own communications productivity, security and efficiency.”
