Network Improvements Support Connectivity for Wisconsin Healthcare Provider

Greenfield, Wisconsin, March 31, 2006, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced a new voice and data services contract with Advanced Pain Management, a Wisconsin healthcare provider that specializes in surgical and clinical pain medicine services, with 27 locations throughout the state.

Under the terms of the five-year contract, AT&T will be the primary voice and data communications provider to Advanced Pain Management and will support the deployment of a Virtual Private Network (VPN), dedicated Internet access (DIA) and additional monitoring services. These solutions will enable Advanced Pain Management to establish a wide area network (WAN), a single data communications network that will connect its 27 locations throughout the state to a single converged network. The network will also support business-to-business communications, allowing employees to access secured corporate information and providing remote network access with the same level of connectivity.

The enhanced solution will allow for simultaneous applications, with faster error-free data transmission on a single data network. It will also support new applications such as desktop videoconferencing, remote PC access and private line backup, as well as additional bandwidth for future expansion. The addition of improved voice and data products and services will ensure secure and seamless transitions and integration, which will be critical as the company moves its headquarters and opens at least three new sites next year. Furthermore, this solution aligns with AT&T’s customer-centric convergence strategy, allowing Advanced Pain Management to reach unparalleled levels of productivity and cost efficiency.

“We were looking for a provider capable of delivering an advanced and secure communications network to connect all of our locations,” said Nitin Saxena, director of Information Technology of Advanced Pain Management. “We are confident that the solutions provided by AT&T will not only support our current needs but will also allow for future growth, resulting in an overall improvement to our patient care services.”
