Agfa Graphics to Demonstrate New Inkjet Products at Sign Expo 2006.

Expanded Assortment Being Shown in North America for First Time at International Sign Association’s 60th Annual Event.

Ridgefield Park, NJ, March 30, 2006, Agfa Graphics will be demonstrating its newest inkjet engines and solutions at the International Sign Association’s (ISA) 60th Annual Sign Expo, being held in Orlando, FL (USA), next month.

The new inkjet printers that attendees can see in the Agfa booth (#758) include the :Anapurna L and XL for roll-to-roll and rigid applications, and the new :Grand Sherpa Universal AM (65 and 90) featuring the new Agfa Bulk Ink Supply System, :ABISS.

“For nearly a year, Agfa has aggressively launched industrial inkjet technology products, considered as the preferred method for digital printing applications including wide-format, screen, banner, display, label and package printing,” said Stephen Cutler of Agfa’s Screen, Sign and Display Group, North America. “Agfa’s product line includes not only the new inkjet systems, but Agfa-made inks and media, as well. These and business partnerships with other industry leaders bring higher quality and productivity level to these digital printing applications.”


:Anapurna Assortment Expanded.

At ISA, two models - the :Anapurna L and XL - will be shown and demonstrated for the first time in North America. Both systems offer high-volume industrial printing applications for flexible and rigid media using Agfa’s UV-curable :Anapurna ink. Maximum print width is 63 inches for :Anapurna L and 98.5 inches for :Anapurna XL. The Dual-Mode System on the XL enables printing of two half-sized media simultaneously.
Additional features include:

* Maximum resolution of 363x725 dpi
* Borderless printing capability (no white edges)
* White ink printing
* Low-cost, user-replaceable UV-curing lamps for low cost of ownership.

Both the :Anapurna L and XL are now available in North America.


:Grand Sherpa Universal.

Additionally, Sign Expo attendees will be able to see for the first time in North America Agfa’s new bulk ink feed system called :ABISS :for the :Grand Sherpa Universal 90-AM and 65-AM wide-format printers. The :Grand Sherpa Universal AM’s inks provide improved color saturation, guarantee a uniform gloss appearance and dry much faster than typical inks. :ABISS, Agfa’s Bulk Ink Supply System, offers users longer automated production cycles resulting in worry-free, unattended printing.
