U.S. Healthworks Signs Networking Agreement with AT&T

WEBWIRE

Alpharetta, Georgia, March 29, 2006, AT&T announced today that it has signed a three year, $2 million agreement with U.S. HealthWorks to provide Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN), Internet access and networking hardware for its 120 domestic locations. The two companies have a separate, existing contract by which AT&T provides U.S. HealthWorks with local and long-distance voice services.

Under this new agreement, AT&T will support a sophisticated network infrastructure that upgrades the existing frame relay and IP network of U.S. HealthWorks to a single AT&T IP VPN and MIS solution. U.S. HealthWorks will benefit from increased bandwidth and reliability.

“The AT&T network upgrade solution was a clear choice because of its ability to support our multi-site business model, together with its cost, quality and features,” said Steve Essayan, Enterprise Solutions Director for U.S. HealthWorks. “It provides a fault-tolerant enterprise environment that supports current network requirements, as well as scalability to support future web-based systems, imaging and voice over IP applications.”
