Deco Lighting Saves 50% in Energy

Deco Lighting’s new Induction lighting fixtures were selected for the huge 250-acre Mesa Riverview Shopping Center in Arizona to provide 50% energy savings, 100,000 hour lamp life, superior quality illumination, and contribute to the green environmental efforts of the City of Mesa.

Mesa Riverview is a major outdoor entertainment and shopping complex with over 1.3 million square feet of retail space, located in the northwest corner of Mesa, Arizona. With a blend of big-box and specialty stores, restaurants and theatres, Mesa Riverview offers a multitude of choices for Arizona shoppers and visitors. Developed by De Rito Partners Inc. and designed by Saemisch + Di Bella Architects, construction of Mesa Riverview began in 2006, and the mall continues to expand with new stores.

Deco Lighting’s D905i surface mount cylinder luminaires at Mesa Riverview provide 100,000 hour lamp life, better quality illumination, and equivalent light levels using approximately half the wattage of conventional HID (high intensity discharge) lamps. Benefits to the mall management company include immediate 50% utility costs savings and long term maintenance savings. Due to the substantially longer lifespan of Induction lamps, the labor and material cost of four relamping cycles of HID fixtures is saved.
