Sandvik IT Services Selects Verizon Business as Preferred Global Data Communications Provider

Global Communications Infrastructure Consolidated and Reinforced With Additional Data-Center Co-Location and Managed Services Capabilities

STOCKHOLM - Sandvik IT Services, the global IT supplier for the Sandvik Corporation, has chosen Verizon Business as the company’s preferred global data communications provider.

Under the terms of the new contract, Sandvik Corporation will transfer the full, 24 x 7 management of the majority of its global network to Verizon Business. This will help the company reduce its data communications costs.

Sandvik IT Services began working with Verizon Business in 1999 and wanted to develop a consolidated global network that would be able to support the company’s existing communications requirements as well as be quickly scaled to support ongoing global growth. In addition, Sandvik wanted the network to provide a foundation on which the company could build advanced IP-enabled communications solutions.

Verizon Business manages 260,000-plus security, network and hosting devices across more than 4,200 customer networks in 142 countries and territories.
