Windows 7 64-bit support in latest software release from Big Bang LLC

Universal Imaging Utility (UIU) version 4.6 easily creates Windows 7 64-bit hardware-independent image for quick deployment



MILWAUKEE – June 8, 2010 – Today, Big Bang LLC announced the release of the Universal Imaging Utility (UIU) version 4.6 including new upgrades and features for compatibility with Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit. The UIU is patented technology that makes possible the creation of a hardware-independent hard drive image that can easily be deployed to any laptop or desktop regardless of manufacturer. The latest version was developed specifically for compatibility with Windows 7 64-bit.

The new version 4.6 includes features that fully support Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit), a new Windows 7 driver database, support for Mac Intel-based hardware, advanced OS-agnostic UIU Discovery Tool which allows the user to ascertain hardware compatibility for all current Windows Operating Systems, modified Sysprep .xml answer files, enhanced Unsigned driver handling, as well as continued feature updates and support for Windows XP and Vista.

The release of version 4.6 is timely as many organizations have been waiting to upgrade their hardware to coincide with Windows 7 and increasingly more available 64-bit technology. “Many of the existing features of the UIU have been in response to our customers’ needs,” said Big Bang President Adam Murphy, “we try to anticipate market trends and the needs of our customers ahead of time so we can keep their imaging processes as efficient as possible. 64-bit support for Windows 7 is a great example.
