Following the retirement of Peter Archer, Laura Elston has been appointed Court Correspondent. Laura joined PA in 2000 as a trainee on the agency’s renowned editorial training scheme. After spending time in London and Cardiff working on general news, she was appointed Deputy Court Correspondent in 2003.

Since becoming Deputy Court Correspondent, Laura has interviewed Prince William in his final year at university and Prince Harry to mark his 21st birthday. She has also travelled the world covering the Prince of Wales’s tours including Iraq, Iran, Bosnia, Jordan, Sri Lanka and Australia. She is currently abroad for the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall’s official visit to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and India.

Commenting on the appointments, Jonathan Grun, Editor at The Press Association said: “Will, Laura and Jane are first class reporters with excellent knowledge in their specialist areas.
